A word from NSCA Chairman Doug Latta
Come to Carnac!
2018 saw the National Solo fleet visit Lake Garda for a classic regatta in strong winds, with the stunning backdrop of the high cliffs (sail on port ’til you can touch them!) and superb after racing socials organised by our friends in the Dutch Solo Class Association.
This year, we have chosen another great location for the Nations Cup, with the host club Yacht Club de Carnac renowned for putting on an excellent regatta with top class race management and just as importantly a stunning backdrop. Located on the south coast of Brittany with sailing taking place on the Gulf of Morbihan, with the club located right on the beach. Family members can not only enjoy the town of Carnac with it’s mix of shopping and great restaurants, but visit the megalithic ‘Carnac Stones’.
With racing arranged over four days, and a couple of great socials in between, this will be a memorable event for all the visitors. In addition to sailors from UK and Holland, this year we are expecting a contingent of sailors from Portugal as well as a handful from the home country as well. All told this should amount to a great entry list and some excellent racing!
I look forward to seeing you on the water!
